Gary Neild and Robert Newcombe were delighted to attend this year’s Bournemouth Daily Echo School Awards on Friday 17th March. As sponsors of the Lifetime Achievement Award, Gary had the pleasure of presenting an award to Suzanne Stoddard, of Bournemouth Collegiate School.
Suzanne is a mathematics teacher and Head of Department and was nominated by assistant head, Stephen Pumphrey who wrote:
“She has demonstrated a life long record of achievement to the teaching of mathematics and has been an inspiration Head of Department. She works tirelessly for her students and is never satisfied with anything that is second best. Outstanding exam results over the years have been testament to her commitment to excellence and she achieves one of the highest VA scores at the school. Suzanne leads her department by example and her colleagues hold her in the highest regard. She is highly knowledgeable, organised and supportive of staff and students.”
Gary and the team at Blue Sky are dedicated to supporting young people with financial education. We visit many schools talking with children and young adults about money and its relevance – our most recent being with QE School in Wimborne, in partnership with Young Enterprise and Dorset Chamber. We see financial education as just one of the skills required to be able to operate effectively in adult life. We applaud and have the utmost respect for those teachers who make a real difference by inspiring, nurturing and imparting knowledge and understanding. Those that go above and beyond the curriculum to empower children to take more control of their lives deserve recognition – we are proud to support the School Awards and be category sponsor for Life Time Achievement.
