What am I referring to?
You are probably aware that I am exposing myself, metaphorically speaking of course!
Having never sung before, I’ve decided to sing for charity in front of 300 people at Mr Kyp’s on Saturday 14th March 2015. What’s more, I have a band and six backing singers who have all volunteered their time and support, as well as a number of other acts to which I am extremely grateful.
Having committed to this madness, I now need your support to make it all worthwhile!
I’m looking to raise money for an excellent local charity called Pink Champagne. An incredibly inspiring bunch of ladies whose vision is to offer support, camaraderie and purpose to those women who’ve either been diagnosed or are recovering from breast cancer. Through the sport of Dragon Boat Racing, an activity that is recognised to be ideally suited to those in recovery, Pink Champagne inspires its members to lead a full and active lifestyle. By training and competing in events, they also raise awareness of breast cancer both in the local community and internationally. This year, for the first time, they have entered the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival.
Then there is the support we are offering as part of our commitment to helping young people become more financially astute. This is aimed at 16-25 year olds and the intention is to create a programme delivered by the Personal Finance Academy and Daniel Britton, author, lecturer and entrepreneur.
