I would just like to communicate a big thank you to all that supported our charity concert at Mr Kyp’s on Saturday 14th March.
For those who were at the event, I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as all of us performers did. I also hope that you consumed a sufficient amount of alcohol to numb the pain of my singing!!
I am pleased to announce that we were able to raise £8,000 for the two nominated beneficiaries with Pink Champagne, (breast cancer recuperation charity) receiving £5,000 and £3,000 being raised for the financial education programme for young people, to be delivered by Daniel Britton at the Personal Finance Academy.
This was all possible because of ticket sales for the event, kind donations and sponsorship from the West Hants Club and Seven Investment Management. We also show our gratitude to The Hideaways Club for allowing any one of their 34 luxury villas to be the silent auction prize. The lucky winner bid £2,600 for a week’s holiday in an exotic location.
We would also thank Holmans in Ferndown for loaning a TV to showcase The Hideaways Club villas, the Tarousel Media Group for agreeing to film the event and to the photographers for taking snaps of the evening.
Jodie Elms, you have a lot to answer for! Plaudits also go to Dave ‘Funky Gibbon’ Marsh on the decks, to Simon Honywill, our sound specialist technician, (take a look at his CV) and also to Brian Cooley who compèred the evening so professionally.
Finally, a big thank you to all my ‘fellow performers’… huge respect and appreciation from me!!
