Gary Neild, our CEO, was a teacher in a past chapter of his career and his passion for financial education and empowering others has been at the core of everything that has been achieved at Blue Sky.
For many years I delivered financial education talks in schools, but it was not as fulfilling as I’d hoped with schools unable to give sufficient time due to the pressures of the curriculum. Recent experiences have galvanised me to give something back to the wider community and help unravel some of the mysteries around money. My quest is to empower people to make better financial decisions so they can sleep easily at night but also help them dream about what’s possible. Get it right, and financial independence is yours.
We all know we could be better informed on financial matters. Sadly, most of us learn by trial and error. Those who are longer in the tooth, often have the battle scars to prove it!
In some ways, it’s easier today because of the internet, but it’s also easier to get confused for exactly the same reason. Respective governments haven’t helped by making things more difficult with changes in legislation. Insurance and investment companies don’t help either with their different pro forma, jargon and acronyms.
So, whether you are interested in understanding some basic principles around money, how to make the most of allowances, how to invest, improving your understanding of pensions or making sense of the economic landscape, we think you will love our quarterly briefings.
